Bachelor/ ISPO Prosthetist/Orthotist (CAT I)

After we have successfully led several generations of students through a comprehensive educational program on the ISPO Category II level, we realised that there is a great need for many of these graduates to continue their education towards the Category I level.

Also, many of our graduates had the potential and desire to become leaders in their profession and teachers of future generations of practitioners in the regions and countries where they live and work. That was the incentive for us to embark on the mission to develop a program that would provide these people with an opportunity to reach their professional goals.

In 2013, as a result of a fruitful cooperation with our partners, the Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics of Mahidol University and the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics, we launched the Category II to Category I upgrade bachelor program.

Our upgrade bachelor program is designed to educate P&O experts who will represent the authority in the field of their profession in their countries, having the greatest professional experience and the highest level of education.

Our upgrade bachelor program offers students the opportunity to evaluate a wide variety of patient pathologies and orthotic/prosthetic solutions and services that will sharply increase their professional skills and expertise.

Through our upgrade bachelor program, students are trained in methodological and didactical methods which enable them to become clinical instructors, mentors and teachers for new generations of practitioners in the P&O profession.

Our upgrade bachelor program applies advanced teaching methods and tools of the blended learning method of education (BDLE). It represents a specially tailored combination of the distance learning (web-based) delivery of the academic content (incl. theoretical lectures, seminars, research topics and case studies) and the comprehensive practical education delivered through on-site demonstration workshop seminars with hands-on experience and real patients.

Students who successfully graduate from this program acquire the Bachelor diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics and the ISPO Cat. I certificate in Prosthetics and Orthotics issued by ISPO recognized Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Siriraj Medical Faculty at the Mahidol University.
