In 2025, we continued our mission to strengthen prosthetics and orthotics (P&O) education in underserved and conflict-affected regions. Rather than providing short-term aid, we invest in long-term solutions: education systems that enable countries to train and retain their own rehabilitation professionals.
Across all our programs, one principle remains constant: sustainable access to rehabilitation begins with qualified professionals. Every trained prosthetist or orthotist contributes to a stronger health system, ensuring that people with disabilities can regain mobility, independence, and participation in society.
The Sepp Heim Funding Program (SHFP) was created in memory of Human Study’s late mentor and friend Sepp Heim (1938 – 2019), enables education as a foundation for lasting change. Through the program, organizations and companies can partner with Human Study to strengthen prosthetics and orthotics education, particularly in conflict-affected and underserved contexts.
