The Sepp Heim Funding Program is a unique collaboration of partners from the P&O sector and beyond. We want to change the face of rehabilitation services around the world. For good.
Today in the Global South, WHO estimates there are 30 million people with disabilities – and only 1 in 10 has access to the prosthetic and orthotic services they need.
Rehabilitation is a human right – and yet seventy-five percent of countries don’t have accredited P&O training programs.
There is an urgent need to train more prosthetics and orthotics professionals, in more countries around the world where people with disabilities are facing poverty and social exclusion. We know the Human Study approach works and has the potential to transform hundreds of thousands of lives. We have already delivered our training to rehab professionals in 53 countries, but there is so much more work to do, and we can’t do this alone.
As an individual or corporate partner, you can make a sustainable impact with an annual contribution of €5,000-€10,000.
The Sepp Heim Funding Program is an initiative of Human Study e.V.

Sepp Heim was a trailblazer in the P&O world. A leader, educator and innovator. He established rehabilitation training programmes in many countries, making an impact on the lives of hundreds of Prosthetist/Orthotists and hundreds of thousands of people with disabilities. Sepp’s mentorship was instrumental in Chris Schlierf setting up Human Study. Sepp is also the figure on the left in our logo! The Sepp Heim Funding Program continues Sepp’s legacy.
Through the Sepp Heim Funding Program, we aim to expand our reach into more countries where there is a lack of P&O services. Join the program, partner with us – and let’s make a sustainable difference in the world.
