With the purpose of fundamentally changing the global situation in delivery of prosthetic and orthotic ISPO (www.ispoint.org ) accredited education, Human Study e.V signed on 13th of February 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand partnership and cooperation with Medical Faculty of Mahidol University and the ISPO. Together with Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (https://www.sspo.ac.th ), Human Study e.V. will implement the Blended Distance Learning Bachelor Program aiming for ISPO Category I Recognition, starting in June 2013 with the first group of students coming from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Afghanistan. The ISPO, as one of the signees of the MoU will closely monitor and supervise the implementation of this urgently needed program.

Considering its experience in the field of formal distance learning P&O education, with a team of eminent faculty professors and P&O clinical instructors, Human Study e.V. anticipates the delivery of a highly competent, vital, and urgently needed blended distance learning upgrading program of the Category II technologists to ISPO Category I level. The implementation of this distance learning pilot program will make a breakthrough in P&O education finally enabling thousands of ISPO Category II technicians from all parts of the world to finally be able to upgrade their education to Category I ISPO.

According to Clinical Prof. Udom Kachinthorn, the Dean of Medical Faculty, the collaboration between Siriraj Medical Faculty and Human Study e.V. will finally give specialized personnel in Prosthetics and Orthotics access to quality certified education without having to leave their jobs of families for studies abroad. More importantly, it will elevate the quality of education in this particular field to meet the international standard, leading to better care and treatments for all patients.
